Description

The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania supports private individuals with their primary residence in the federal state who purchase and have plug-in photovoltaic systems (so-called mini balcony power plants) installed as tenants in residential buildings. The aim of this measure is to strengthen independent partial supply with renewable energies as well as to support climate protection activities in the private sector. For each system with a connection capacity between 200 W and 800 W, a one-time fixed grant of up to €500 can be awarded. The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant within the framework of an ongoing program and covers acquisition and installation costs, provided these do not exceed the maximum limit.

A prerequisite for a positive decision is the registration of the system with the grid operator and the market master data register, as well as, if applicable, the consent of the landlords or the condominium owners' association. Acquisition and installation must have taken place after November 7, 2022; the system must be held in ownership for at least two years. Economic use or EEG remuneration for fed-in electricity excludes funding. Applications must be submitted in writing to the state funding institute after successful commissioning and must be accompanied by copies of the purchase and installation invoices, a photo of the system, identity card, and EC card proof of the IBAN. As long as budget funds are available, applications will be approved in the order of their complete receipt; the deadline runs until December 31, 2027.
