About the funder

The DAA Foundation for Education and Vocational Training is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Hamburg. Together with eleven affiliated companies, it forms one of the largest German corporate groups in the vocational training and continuing education sector. Its range of services extends from pre-vocational education and integration measures through advanced training and technician courses to academic degrees at the master's level, as well as substitute schools in the commercial sector and institutions in therapeutic-rehabilitative, nursing, and socio-pedagogical professions. The foundation provides financial resources, initiates cooperations, and promotes application-oriented research projects on current educational and labor market policy issues.

Mission & Vision

The DAA Foundation for Education and Profession is committed to promoting educational equity and equal opportunities. As one of the largest non-profit corporate groups in vocational and further education with a trade union tradition, it develops and operates innovative, high-quality offerings throughout the entire educational biography. Its goal is to provide people of all ages with access to vocational and academic qualifications, support their personal development, and thereby contribute to social cohesion and democratic participation in our society.

Target groups

The funding programs of the DAA Foundation are aimed at children and adolescents in preparatory and integration phases, students and career starters (e.g., school fee support, Deutschlandstipendium, dual study programs), working professionals and specialists (part-time further education, advanced training), DAA affiliated companies in the implementation of application-oriented research projects, as well as individuals pursuing an academic degree (Bachelor, Master).
