About the funder
The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Labor, Technology and Tourism of the State of Schleswig-Holstein (MWVATT) is a supreme state authority based in Kiel. It traces its origins back to the first Ministry of Economic Affairs of the state in 1946 and took its current comprehensive form in 2017 when tourism was integrated into the department. The ministry is responsible for economic development, labor market policy, vocational training, technology promotion, tourism policy, as well as transport infrastructure (public transport, rail transport, road construction, ports, aviation).
