About the funder

The Schöffel Foundation was established in 2011 by Hubert and Peter Schöffel, the owning family of the outdoor clothing brand Schöffel, in Schwabmünchen. As a private, non-profit foundation, it focuses primarily on supporting environmental and nature conservation projects, child and youth work, as well as social and charitable initiatives in the Augsburg region. Through its projects such as "Gipfelstürmer," forest restoration measures, and school cooperations, it contributes to raising awareness among young people about nature and environmental issues and additionally supports social institutions, inclusive offerings, and cultural initiatives.

Mission & Vision

"Setting out together – making a sustainable impact": The Schöffel Foundation aims to inspire children and young people for environmental and climate protection through movement and experiences in nature, strengthen regional development, and support socially disadvantaged groups. It strives to implement sustainable projects in cooperation with partners that generate long-term benefits for people and the environment.

Target groups

Non-profit organizations such as clubs, schools, kindergartens, or church institutions active in the Augsburg region are supported. Projects that particularly address motivating children and young people to engage in physical activity in nature, promoting and emotionally enriching nature and environmental experiences, supporting charitable and social purposes (e.g., elderly and disability care), as well as implementing regional school and cultural projects are especially encouraged.
