Stiftung Nord-Süd-Brücken
About the funder
The Stiftung Nord-Süd-Brücken was founded in 1994 on the initiative of the development policy "Round Table" and is a private, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Berlin. It promotes development policy education and public relations work in East Germany as well as poverty alleviation and human rights projects in the Global South. To this end, it manages funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), various state governments (Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia), and its own foundation resources. Its goal is to reduce the causes of poverty, injustice, and unequal opportunities and thereby contribute to a more just world.
