About the funder

The Walter Blüchert Foundation is a legally recognized foundation under civil law with its administrative headquarters in Gütersloh. Since 2012, it has been developing and implementing impact-oriented programs that individually empower people in challenging life situations and promote social participation. In communities of responsibility, it brings together politics, municipalities, associations, foundations, and companies to create sustainable opportunities for the personal development of children, adolescents, and adults. The foundation operates inclusively and supports participants of all nationalities and age groups.

Mission & Vision

Develop personality. Strengthen potentials. Promote social participation. The Walter Blüchert Foundation supports people in challenging life situations by fostering individual talents and personal strengths. Increased self-confidence enhances resilience and motivates greater social involvement. In collaboration with trusted partners, the foundation operates within communities of responsibility comprising municipalities, associations, foundations, and companies, jointly achieving positive impact.

Target groups

The programs are aimed at people of all ages and nationalities, with a special focus on children and young people. The goal is to discover individual potential, promote self-confidence, and open up future opportunities. Adults, such as academics with refugee status or the long-term unemployed, benefit from coaching and mentoring, as do single parents and young refugees.
