Description

The Hamburg Relief Fund Foundation offers both one-time and long-term grants (3–5 years) for non-profit organizations and public institutions in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Projects and initiatives in the fields of art, culture, youth welfare, elderly care, education, as well as social welfare and charitable purposes are supported. With a project duration of 36 to 60 months, the foundation supports forward-looking initiatives dedicated to improving social, cultural, and educational offerings in Hamburg. Funding is awarded twice annually: in May/June and November/December.

Only non-profit institutions and public entities with headquarters or operational activities in Hamburg are eligible to apply. Requirements include proof of non-profit status (tax exemption certificate) and the implementation of a project or initiative within one of the specified thematic areas. Individuals are excluded. Applications must include a completed application form and the current tax exemption certificate. The funding application allows interested applicants to request either a one-time grant or long-term support over 3 to 5 years. Timely submitted documents will be evaluated after formal review during the respective funding period to achieve a sustainable impact within the Hamburg community.
