Description
The project funding of the BEA Foundation "Annual Projects" supports non-profit organizations, private individuals, interest groups, associations, public institutions, and foundations in Germany as well as worldwide. Each year, three projects are selected – two international and one German – that provide effective self-help assistance to people in material or emotional distress. The funding is granted as a subsidy of up to €15,000 and covers 100% of eligible expenses. Project applications can be submitted continuously until the deadline for the upcoming calendar year. A statute orientation towards self-help, a twelve-month project duration, and personal contact between the BEA Foundation and the project sponsors are central prerequisites. Special emphasis is placed on initiatives that empower disadvantaged children and youth, but projects in the areas of education, health, work & social affairs, as well as vocational training and further education are also considered.
The selection is based on clearly defined criteria: aid services for persons in material or emotional distress, sustainable self-help concepts, the division into two international and one German annual project, and at least one project focusing on children and youth. Preference is given to small, manageable projects with intensive support from the BEA Foundation. A completed project application form must be submitted with the application. Through this, the foundation aims to contribute to enabling people in need to lead an independent and dignified life. Interested project sponsors can find the application form on the BEA Foundation’s download page and may apply promptly for inclusion in the funding cycle.
