Description
The State Foundation for Victim Protection Schleswig-Holstein provides a one-time grant of up to €5,000 for non-profit organizations based and operating in Schleswig-Holstein as part of its long-term commitments. The aim of this funding is to meaningfully complement the care of victims of criminal offenses as well as to support victim-witness support programs. The financial assistance is intended to expand existing support services, alleviate economic hardship resulting from an act of violence, and thereby strengthen social cohesion. Priority is given to organizations that provide individual assistance and implement projects that support affected persons in their physical, psychological, and social reintegration.
To apply, a non-profit entity must submit a written application in accordance with the Foundation’s funding guidelines. Essential requirements, in addition to having a registered office in Schleswig-Holstein, include engagement in the field of victim support or victim-witness accompaniment, as well as the submission of the following documents: a properly completed application form, a declaration of completeness and accuracy of the information provided, and a consent form for access to official records. Since applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis, there is no fixed deadline. The decision is made by the Foundation’s board at its due discretion. Repeat funding is generally possible no earlier than three years after the last grant and is intended to ensure a fair distribution of funds.
