Future Fund Styria

The Zukunftsfonds Steiermark continuously supports innovative and forward-looking initiatives in the federal state of Styria. Projects from business, science, research, technology, qualification, youth, as well as art and culture are funded. Eligible to apply are Styrian universities, non-profit non-university research institutions, and associations with a scientific-oriented purpose. Designed as a grant, the fund contributes to increasing the R&D quota and supports business financing, training and further education, media projects, as well as cultural and social initiatives for children and youth.

With the aim of sustainably strengthening the region’s international competitiveness, the Zukunftsfonds Steiermark implements thematic calls for proposals annually. A prerequisite for funding is the location in Styria and the non-profit status of the applying organization. Through financial support, participants and experts receive new impulses to transfer research results into market-ready applications, realize artistic and media innovations, and expand qualified educational offerings. Ongoing submission opportunities offer flexibility and quick response times to current challenges, thereby continuously securing the future viability of Styria.
