About the funder

The Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 14 – Arts and Culture, is the central funding agency for all sectors of arts and culture in the state of Carinthia. It awards financial contributions in accordance with the Carinthian Cultural Funding Act and the associated guidelines for museums, archives, architectural heritage, customs preservation, literature, music, performing and visual arts, photography, film, cultural initiatives, cultural centers, as well as international cultural exchange. Furthermore, Department 14 develops the state’s arts and culture strategy, publishes the cultural magazine "Die Brücke," organizes digital event platforms (kulturchannel.at, Events Carinthia), and provides logos, forms, and guidelines for application and accounting processes.

Mission & Vision

Department 14 of the Carinthian State Government aims to promote art and culture in Carinthia as a driver of social cohesion, identity formation, and innovation. It supports cultural practitioners in their artistic development, protects cultural heritage, and initiates new cultural formats. Transparent allocation procedures, barrier-free offerings, and collaboration with local, national, and European partners are central to its work.

Target groups

Eligible for funding are individuals, associations, non-profit organizations, limited liability companies, and other legal forms from all cultural sectors in Carinthia: museums, libraries, archives, built cultural institutions, traditional customs and heritage preservation groups, artists of the visual and performing arts, photographers, authors, musicians, film producers, publishers, cultural initiatives, cultural centers, as well as institutions for international cultural exchange. Furthermore, the offer is aimed at culture enthusiasts, organizers, and audiences who benefit from the funded projects.
