About the funder
The Hessian Ministry of Labour, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs (HMSI) is a state ministry based in Wiesbaden. It was founded in 1945 as the Hessian Ministry of Labour and received its current name on January 18, 2024, when youth affairs were reintegrated into the ministry (previously: Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration). Since 2024, Minister Heike Hofmann (SPD) has headed the ministry, which employs approximately 450 staff members. The ministry is responsible for the areas of labour and employment, integration and refugee reception, child and youth work, as well as social affairs and inclusion. Well-known programs include ESF Plus funding programs, the Youth Action Program Participation, international youth work, support for family centers, and measures for anti-discrimination and inclusion.

Mission & Vision
At the Hessian Ministry of Labour, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs, the future issues of our society are addressed. The diversity of life situations is at the center of attention. Target groups
Eligible to apply are public and independent providers of youth welfare, youth associations, clubs, municipalities, and recognized welfare organizations in Hesse. Beneficiaries include children and adolescents, people with disabilities, women, refugees and those willing to integrate, as well as employees and employers. Geographical focus: State of Hesse.
