About the funder
The Kommunaler Sozialverband Sachsen (KSV Sachsen) is a public-law corporation of the Free State of Saxony and a provider of social services. Alongside counties and independent cities, it acts as an approval and sponsoring authority for integration and social assistance, including care services, integration assistance for people with disabilities, and a wide range of child and youth support programs. As a central contact point, KSV Sachsen supports public and independent providers in the areas of daycare centers, school social work, international youth work, family education, as well as supportive services in everyday life (§ 45 SGB XI). Furthermore, it oversees the recognition of health professions, promotes company-supported daycare centers, and performs comprehensive administrative and advisory tasks related to social participation and prevention.

Target groups
The KSV Sachsen primarily directs its funding programs and services to municipal youth welfare offices as well as public and independent providers of social work in Saxony. The target groups include children and adolescents, schools and youth welfare organizations, providers and institutions of child and youth welfare (e.g., daycare centers, school social work, international youth work), people with disabilities and their service providers (integration assistance, care services), individuals in need of care and providers of supportive everyday and care assistance (§ 45 SGB XI), companies and enterprises operating company-supported daycare centers, as well as authorities and associations that recognize and advise health professionals.
