About the funder
Department 1 "Economy, Tourism and Municipalities" is part of the Office of the Salzburg State Government and is responsible for economic policy promotion, tourism development, as well as advising and supporting municipalities in Salzburg. It manages various funding programs, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector, and ensures the implementation of statewide economic initiatives and municipal matters.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to sustainably strengthen the economic strength of the state of Salzburg, to further develop tourism in a future-oriented and competitive manner, and to support municipalities in shaping livable community structures through targeted funding and advisory services.
Target groups
The funding programs of Department 1 are primarily aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector as well as at tourism infrastructure projects. Municipalities and local authorities in Salzburg also belong to our target group, whom we support with advisory services and financial grants for investments.
