The Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Sport Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is the highest state authority of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for the areas of social affairs, health, and sport. It develops and directs the political orientation in these sectors and is responsible for legislative initiatives, funding programs, and services in the social and healthcare sectors as well as for the promotion of sports at the state level.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to sustainably strengthen social security, healthcare, and sports activities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. We are committed to equal opportunities, prevention, rehabilitation, and comprehensive healthcare provision. At the same time, we promote both grassroots and elite sports as an important contribution to quality of life and social integration.
Target groups
Our funding and service offerings are aimed at all citizens as well as social, health, and sports organizations and institutions in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This includes individuals, clubs, associations, municipalities, and social facilities that wish to plan and implement projects and measures in the fields of social affairs, health, and sports.
