Mission & Vision
We promote art and culture as essential pillars of a democratic society and as drivers of creative exchange. Our goal is to safeguard Austria’s reputation as a nation of culture by supporting artists, institutions, and initiatives in their diversity, enabling innovative projects, and establishing sustainable structures. We are committed to transparency, participation, and fairness to ensure cultural inclusion for all.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Section for Arts and Culture are aimed at individuals and groups of artists (musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, authors, and many others), institutions (registered museums, public libraries, cultural initiatives, umbrella and specialized associations), project sponsors (cooperation and special projects with nationwide impact), as well as, exceptionally, companies when innovative projects could not be realized without their involvement.
