Stiftung zur Förderung des Internationalen Jugendaustausches in Bayern

The Foundation for the Promotion of International Youth Exchange in Bavaria (Stiftung Jugendaustausch Bayern) was established in summer 2021 by the Bavarian State Government as a consumption foundation within the portfolio of the Bavarian State Chancellery. With a budget of 30 million euros over ten years, it connects organizations, provides information on offers, funding, and advisory services in the field of youth and student exchange, and specifically supports exchange programs for certain target groups and regions. The goal is to enable all young people in the Free State of Bavaria to gain international experience and intercultural learning.

Every young person in Bavaria should have the opportunity to participate in a youth or student exchange! To this end, the Stiftung Jugendaustausch Bayern connects key actors at home and abroad, provides extensive information on programs and funding, and promotes exchanges for specific target groups and in special focus regions. We believe in the transformative power of intercultural encounters and are committed to strengthening global understanding and openness to the world.

The funding programs of the Foundation for the Promotion of International Youth Exchange in Bavaria are aimed at pupils of all school types, particularly middle, secondary, special, and vocational schools, trainees, specialist and teaching staff, youth organizations and project sponsors, as well as young people who have previously had limited access to exchange programs.
