Studienbeihilfenbehörde

The Studienbeihilfenbehörde is a federal authority within the portfolio of the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research. It awards government funding such as study grants, foreign study allowances, travel cost subsidies, study supplements, and childcare cost subsidies to financially eligible students. Approximately 65,000 applications are processed each academic year at the six scholarship offices located in Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Linz, and Klagenfurt. To ensure efficient processing, the authority utilizes a specially developed IT solution and employs a total of 118 staff members. In addition to financial support, the services offered include comprehensive information and counseling.
