The Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality is a supreme state authority of the state of Lower Saxony. It is responsible for the coordination and implementation of social policy, labour market policy, health policy, as well as gender equality in Lower Saxony. The ministry develops funding programs, legislative initiatives, and advisory services to improve social participation, healthcare provision, and equal opportunities in the state.

The mission of the Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality is to promote the quality of life and equal opportunities for all citizens in Lower Saxony. Through targeted funding programs, legislative initiatives, and cooperation with municipalities, associations, and aid organizations, the ministry sets impulses for a solidaristic society, good working conditions, comprehensive healthcare provision, and gender equality.
