About the funder

The Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs, Health and Social Cohesion (SMS) is a state ministry of the Free State of Saxony, headquartered in Dresden. As a so-called "Ministry of Society," it addresses issues affecting people in all phases and situations of life, as well as animal welfare. Its areas of responsibility include social security, healthcare, child and youth welfare, family, inclusion and participation, integration, and psychiatric care. The ministry promotes social cohesion in Saxony through various programs.

Mission & Vision

In all political decisions of the Ministry, the dignity of the individual is paramount. The goal of all political action is the unrestricted self-determination of all people and the improvement of participation in life.

Target groups

Non-profit organizations, independent welfare service providers, municipalities, as well as natural persons in Saxony are eligible for funding. Target groups include children and adolescents, families, elderly people, persons with disabilities, migrants, and vulnerable population groups. The geographic focus is on the Free State of Saxony.
