Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Verkehr (SMWA)

The Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport (SMWA) is the central administrative authority of the Free State of Saxony responsible for economic policy, labour market development, and transport planning. It develops and manages programs to promote innovation, supports companies and founders, shapes the framework conditions for employment and securing skilled workers, and is responsible for infrastructure in the transport sector.

Our mission is to sustainably secure and expand Saxony's economic strength and competitiveness, create attractive jobs, promote skilled workers, and develop a modern, environmentally friendly transport infrastructure. We are committed to creating framework conditions in which both companies and employees can equally seize future opportunities.

The SMWA targets companies of all sizes and sectors in Saxony, founders, skilled workers, and job seekers, as well as municipal and private actors in the transport sector. We support projects and initiatives that promote innovation, employment, and mobility, contributing to the economic and social development of the Free State.
