About the funder

The KfW Bankengruppe is one of the world's leading development banks, operating on behalf of the federal government and the states since 1948. Its goal is to improve economic, social, and ecological living conditions worldwide. In 2023, KfW provided a funding volume of €111.3 billion, with 33% allocated to climate and environmental protection measures. KfW refinances its development business almost entirely through international capital markets and is represented at around 80 locations worldwide. It employs over 8,000 staff and distinguishes itself from commercial banks through its responsible conduct.

Mission & Vision

The KfW Bankengruppe is committed to supporting people, countries, and institutions that think ahead and advance society.
